Smile Zipcode 77028- Need information

I will be moving to Houston, Texas in June. I am single, black, female 25 yrs old. I will be working for Davita Dialysis as a social worker located off North Loop East, 77028. I have never been to Houston. How is the 77028 and 77029 area? Crime, people...I would like to live close to work? Where is a nice and safe area to live? I will be making about $52,000. How much are really nice and spacious 1 bedroom apartments renting for monthly? How much does apartment rental insurance cost yearly. In addition, approximately how much should I expect to spend on electric, gas, and water? If you all have any other suggestions to help a lady from Tampa, FL it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch

77028 is really in the older NE part of town. not your ideal place to live. I would Look to rent Northwest of 77028.
the northforest ISD is one of the worst in Houston:
NFISD:
Houston Schools - NFISD
crime:
Houston Crime Maps | ZIP Code | 77028

77029 is also about the same, except you get the bonus of chemical plants and the big Houston landfill!
Sorry, I would try and look for something inside the loop 610. Look at HAR.com
