Default schools...

Hi - I am hoping to find some information about schools. Next year, I will have children in elementary, middle and high school. What would be the best place (zip code?) to move to get consistent quality at all three levels? I have heard that schools in Katy are good - but are some within Katy better than others ? Thanks in advance for any info...

Klein ISD, All 3 levels are top schools. My own kids attend these schools. All 3 of my children went to elementary, and I have 2 in middle and 1 in high school. It depends on what neighborhood oyu live in, which Klein Schools you will get but most are excellent.

Katy ISD is very good on all three levels. Just make sure that Katy is the xburb with the easiest commute to work.

Here's the list and thread for the Top High Schools in the Houston area. If the High School is up in the top few tiers, there's usually a very good elem. and middle school zoned to it.

The list for the top high schools in 2008 are out

There are good school districts to be found on all sides of town --- the main questions is probably where will you be working - Houston is huge so it is best to try and move somewhere that gives you a reasonable commute to work. Once you know what side of town you will work on - then research the best districts closest to your work.
