Pfft. I’m not into donuts like I was when I was a kid but Krispy Kreme donuts are best when the light is on telling you it’s hot. That’s the best time to eat them. I can only eat one now thought because they are extremely sugary but meh, I liked and still like Krispy Kreme.

I agree they are really good when the Hot light is on.

Same thing with MOD pizza.
One of the best in town when it's hot and fresh, but loses taste once you bring it home and reheat.

I’ve given Krispy Kreme plenty of tries. Hot, cold, even store bought. Never caught on go if. They make their donuts way too sweet to hide the mediocre dough

I like MOD Pizza, too. I can't wait until they bring back the milkshakes at their locations.

That said, I agree with everyone else that OP should strongly consider other donut options. Krispy Kreme is about as bad as it gets. If you're looking for something on the south side, I like Le Donut near TMC.
Okay, it's now the end of Jan to I'll give in until the end of the March 2021. I got my fingers crossed.

I like Krispy Kreme.

Its kind of a cult thing in the southeast like In and Out is in California. Had a college roommate who was so excited when they opened in Austin.

But I like Shipley's better.

Dunkin donuts are about the worst you can get. Their cake donuts are fine, but the rest are awful.

Shipley sold so hopefully they don’t change them.
