.

Our kid was accepted to both schools for PK3, and we're relatively new to Houston. Have been lurking this forum for some excellent info, and wanted to get some more recent updates.

Would love to get your thoughts on how these aspects compare at both schools: 1) academic curriculum, 2) future prospects re: middle school and high school (placement at top private vs public schools) 3) arts, 4) sports, 5) snootiness (or lack thereof ).

We are not white, not Christian, not affluent, and would love to have our kid benefit from the diversity that Houston offers. We are ok with a religious curriculum as long as it's not intended for indoctrination or evangelization; we consider it part of diversity to be exposed to religious points of view that differ from our own.

I’m not a parent or alumni of either school, but it’s my general impression that AOS has a stronger academic and community reputation along with River Oaks Baptist School (ROBS) and Presbyterian School in the loop.

Thanks! Anyone with input on the arts and sports at either school?
