Default Moving, need info. on houses for rent in QUIET areas in and around Houston, possibly in Spring, TX

Hello. My husband and I are moving to Houston this summer and are looking for a house to rent, but aren't having much luck finding anything over the internet. I'm a writer, so quiet is essential. Since that tends to be hard, if not impossible, to come by in apartments and townhouses (according to past experience), we'd really prefer to rent a house. A colleague in Houston suggested looking for something in Spring, TX. I've tried several real estate search sites and checked the classifieds over on the Houston Chronicle's website with no succcess. Even though I specify houses, I more often than not end up with a list of apartments instead. Any suggestions?

Look on Har.com, you will find all the listings that are available for lease unless they are FLBO's.

I think that they probably have either found something months ago or abandoned the idea; note the date on the original post and reply. Also, note in the original post that they were "looking to move this summer", meaning 2008.

If you check mr_smectite's post history they are all identical posts of links to his website. Nothing more than an ad bot most likely.

Yes your right; I didn't bother to look at his history or profile though. I find it amusing when I see some of these reply posts' come up months after the fact, long after the original response was needed. I figure it must be new people to the board not taking the time to actually read, rather just to eager/hungry to get on their soap box.
