Question Need Temporary Housing in Houston

My family and I are relocating to Northwest Houston (Cy-Fair) at the end of January 2007 from Dallas. We have put an offer on a forclosure home (I am an interior designer who loves a challenge) but it will not be ready to move into until mid February. Does anyone know of a furnished apartment or small house to rent for 2-3 weeks? We have looked into some extended stay hotels however some are not appropriate for young children. We are extremely clean and have no pets. Thanks for any advise.

I know a furnished apartment in the HWY290 and 1960, behind Walmart, but I forgot the name.

I would suggest contacting an apartment locator in Houston. Most will know of furnished corporate units that can be rented on a month-to-month basis. You will have to rent for a full month though. But as for that extended stay hotel, I still think that would be a better option. If you can find one in the general area your house will be in then your kids can start school right away (if they are of school age). Unless they are really little they would probably enjoy the hotel experience.

I second RedRover....having travelled extensively for work, the extended stay places can be quite nice and competetively priced...also, no downpayment and utilities to worry about. Since it sounds like only a month or less, it is probably short enough that the inconvienences will not kill you (like not having a full kitchen....).
