HI

I found three providers here in Kingwood. Comcast (NO) Direct TV and Sudden link cable. I was thinking of going with the third. Anyone have experiance with there customer service quality.

Also Is there a website I can go to and do a change of address for our license? Do we need to contact anyone about our car registrations?

Thanks

Suddenlink is pretty good. We used to have Cebridge which was horrrrrible, then they were taken over by Suddenlink I guess, and we havent had much trouble at all with them since.

We liked Comcast in 3 previous states, but we haven't been happy with them at all since moving to Texas.

Google Comcast is evil and read all the articles about the stuff they pull from throttling people internet traffic, to their terrible customer service, to lobbying the government against net neutrality. A portion of every dollar you pay them goes to their lobbyists to bribe Congress into allowing them to jack up your prices and keep internet speeds low here. The US has among the slowest and most expensive internet service among all developed nations.

Also always read the fine print when you sign up for a Comcast service, their prices are almost always "introductory" and increase by quite a bit after a few months.

Default No!

I would NOT go with SuddenLink. We have been trying to get them out to bury a cable in our back yard that doesn't even go to our home for 5 months now. A man even came a few weeks ago, and said he would bury it, but got in his car and left. THEN, they send us a bill for $50 to have had it burried! Now, when I call to question being charged for a service that never happened, I'm hung up on....4 times now! I would so choose a different company...this company obviously knows nothing about consumer rights....in addition to our $50 bill to bury a cable that isn't our's that is still in our yard (yes, above the ground), we are the only home on our street who was billed....even though the temporary cable goes through several yards. It you embrace honesty and integrity, you need to choose another company besides SuddenLink.

You can get Free DISH from 1 year with Embarq if you get their phone and internet. Pretty good deal imo.

Default Stay away from Sudden-Link

My total package is 192.00 per mo. for the following:

Home security w/ 3 door sensors only.
So-called Hi Speed Internet.
Premium Cable w/dvr.

The biggest problem w/ Sudden-Link is the number of channels actually broadcasting in real HD. I'm sure only 2 or 3 are like 783ip. 1080ip - forget-it, period, it'll never happen. The other channels are like 400-500ip range. When you switch channels there is often a long delay. And the picture starts to tile quite often, randomly, you never know which channel will be affected by tiling.

I hear Direct-TV broadcasts all their channels in full HD. Any truth to that?

What about Embarq? Anyone use it?

I expect my total package to be around 220. by 2nd quarter 09.
