More info about Aldine,please.
I'll like to know about the crime rates at Aldine and other significant information about the place. Both good and bad stuff.

I lived in Aldine I.S.D. for decades. Would not recommend it to anyone.

I taught there for a few years. It is a good district to work for but a challenging inner city group of kids. I can not think of one neighborhood zoned to Aldine I would ever consider living in.

Aldine is a broad area. The part I picture when I think of Aldine is over there off of 45 north. The most positive things I could say about Aldine is in that particular area over there has been some decent retail growth along 45. It isn't that far from the retail at Greenspoint mall, such as it is, or downtown. There are some decent fringe neighborhoods, like Inverness Forest at the northern tip, although not one I would particularly recommend.
The negatives I think are fairly obvious. The school district is not sought after to say the least, despite strong efforts by the district. A good portion of the area in Aldine represents development that is an obvious result of Houston's lack of zoning and planning. Much of it over off of 45 north has a feel of almost rural quality, sections with asphalt roads and open ditches, old growth trees around old frame houses and trailers and that sort of thing.
Obviously living off of Aldine Bender or Airline, for example, vs. living in Inwood Forest or Inverness Forest would probably give you very different experiences, so there will be variables. Generally speaking, however, it is not considered a desirable area or one that appears to hold much potential for property value growth. Personally, I just don't see it "going anywhere."
