Remember, in studies, placebos are given to only half the patients.
I'm putting my money on the placebo that is Big Pharma. Do what you want, but don't assume patients of Dr. Hotze are stupid.

It has been awhile for this post but thought I would add my 2 cents. I contacted them because of hormone issues but found the cost was too high. I think they do help people but it sounds very strict. There are things you can do similar to what they would tell you that will help. For example the yeast diet - just get a book that describes what is on the diet. Hormone balancing can be done in many ways such as meditation, yoga, and herbs such as vitex. I am not saying to treat yourself if you have a serious issue but I think the concepts of what Hotze would provide can be taken to help you feel better.

Insurance won't reimburse for obvious reasons. No kickbacks!

Insurance doesn't pay because Dr. Hotze practices "alternative" medicine, that is not FDA approved. Has nothing to do with kickbacks.

My uncle knows him personally. Dr. Hotze found his colon cancer. He is cured now thanks to early intervention.
I go to a doctor Dr. Hotze trained that works in Tomball. 1/3 of the cost and they take care credit (no interest financing) I would be a walking zombie without my armour thyroid (that's all I take)

Can you share the name of the dr. you see? If you don't care to - then how about sending it in a private message?

Stop right here ... save your money. Plenty of good doctors in your backyard or perhaps a short ride into the city.
Hotze is a scam. Everyone who passes through those doors is put on the exact same regimen. Armour thyroid is a danger and the 'client' contols his/her intake. My husband and I both went through the program last spring and the only thing that changed was we dropped some weight while on the gluten/wheat free diet. The weight reduction would have happened if we just restricted calories, controlled portion size and our diet consisted of 5-6 servings of fruits and veggie, lean protein, cut out the alcohol and took the fork out of our mouths. Excercise is a daily part of our lives; always has been.
They are marketeers period.

I wouldn't say it's a scam.
Before I started taking my armour thyroid, I felt really tired ALL the time. I really had brain fog. Now, if I ever forget to take it past 11 am I can feel it. My medicine only costs roughly $28 a month. I never had to do all that other stuff. My husband had to do gluten free do to celiac disease and it really isn't hard. There are tons of alternatives now in the grocery store to suit those needs.
His regular doctor told him about celiac, not my doctor.

People know what they need to do.....eat less, exercise more. People just don't know HOW to really go about it. Dr. Hotze has a plan that's easy for people to follow. If people knew how to do these things Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, Quick Weight Loss centers would all stop making the millions each year that they do. It's really no different.

I'm looking at Drs. specifically to find one prescribing the Armour Thyroid -- at the point, I'm not worreid about all the diets, etc. So some people may consider that a scam but to each his own - but it is very difficult to find ones who prescribe the Armour thyroid and that is not a scam. That benefits many people.
