Hotze Health & Wellness Center
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Hotze Health & Wellness Center in Katy Texas? I've had some health issues over the past year and I was referred to them. I would like to get feed back from anyone that has had experience with them or knows anyone thats been treated there as I may have to come from New Jersey.
Thank-you....

I have not been treated there but will tell you by reputation, it is excellent. Dr. Hotz comes to Dallas and does morning show appearances. I was very interested due to having a sister who has Lupus and got the web site addy for her, to see what she thought. It turns out that he runs a clinic similar to one that was in Germany many years ago that she and many Americans would go too to help with their auto immune diseases. She doesn't have the insurance right now to go but were trying as a family to get raise enough funds to get her over to see him. I myself would love to go to him and see if he can help me.
Good luck.

Thank-you so much for the input. It's going to take a lot for me to get there from NJ so I want to hear feedback before I make the comittment. I had a consultation over the phone and they were right on about what they were talking about and I've been dealing with this issue for about a year + now.

I would love to be able to see Dr. Hotze! As the previous poster has said, he has an excellent reputation.

Hotze Health & Wellness Center
I'm sure he has helped some women - but I have been a guest at his clinic for almost a year and the only thing I've lost is money. The people are very nice, the facility is fantastic but I'm not so certain the program is for me. I've taken the medications I have been prescribed but I haven't seen the results other women have. The cost is sky high with little or no re-imbursement from your insurance company.

I think an initial evaluation from Hotze is ~ $2500 (insurance doesn't cover) plus a huge cocktail of pills and vitamins that you need to take every day that you buy from his compounding pharmacy (again which insurance does not cover). A co-worker goes there. She said she seems to feel better after going there (but she got worse before she got better, which they said would happen). But she has strayed from the strict yeast-free diet he put her on.

Isn't his philosophy about changing your lifestyle and diet along with hormones and vitamins added into the mix?
Insurance won't reimburse for obvious reasons. No kickbacks!

Some of my friends have gone to Hotze. All of them have been put on the yeast free/gluten free diet. They all take the Armour Thyroid along with other pills prescribed by him. They have lengthy discussions about the dangers of synthetic thyroid meds vs his natural Armour Thyroid etc...
they cant eat hardly anything due to the gluten or yeast and one is also sugar free. It is very costly and insurance does not pay.

To each their own - some swear by him and feel 100% better than they ever did, while others don't notice much of a change. Maybe it's individual metabolism. Guess if you can afford it, it is one of those things you just need to try and see if it works to know for sure.

The placebo effect can work wonders.
