I never let the weather bother me. I've biked in all conditions except snow, well almost. I've biked in the searing heat, in the rainstorm, in the artic winter, and even in a hailstorm. And when I have to drive, I still have to walk for at least 5 minutes to my parked car. And a handkerchief is not just for a gentleman’s fancy suit, it's really is a handy tool, too.

No Wizzy, that's not how it works. When all the oil is gone, the ice caps are melted, the Earth is in a nuclear winter and I'm eating Beanie Weenies straight out of the can in a fallout shelter - I'll still be cooler than you.

BTW, yes, check out Splashtown. A simple Google search woulda pulled that up.

Don't let these people get you down. I too am a "wimp" and am greatly looking forward to the day when I can escape this heat.
People in Houston seem to get really defensive when you say anything negative about this place. Don't take what they say personally.
Know that you are not alone.
