Default General question

Hello all,
I know this is a bit off topic but I been living in Houston for a year now and its almost time to file taxes. I useto have someone back home in NYC do my taxes but now that I live in Houston it might be a bit difficult. Anyways, how much does H&R cost to do my taxes?? Does anyone recommend a friend that perhaps does taxes?? Any helps, idea, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Look in the phone book and give H&R a call, they should be able to give you correct information.

I personally would try to find an experienced individual tax accountant instead of using H & R Block. I used them once, and the guy had to keep going and asking his supervisor how to do things. Things that a decent tax accountant totally would have known. I've since learned that they hire anyone that has the slightest bit of tax accounting experience/education during tax time. I think mine came out okay in the end, but I certainly didn't feel comforted by this guy's lack of knowledge.
