Good point.

Who would you rather have as a neighbor?

Joe Horn and his daughter who lives with him or those 2 illegal thugs with records as long as their arms.

I'll take Joe Horn or someone like him. One of my kids house was broken into and someone stole $6,000.00 worth of stuff and even with insurance you still lose money. What really made it bad was my son was in college and they took his computer with all of his work on it. Most was backed up but not all of it. He had to work hard to redo it just because some thinks it's ok to steal.

I simply can't comprehend how anyone thinks that shooting 2 men in the back and boasting about going to do it to the 911 operator is not anyone I would call a hero. He is a showboat and glad I am not living near him.

Crime is awful everywhere but for goodness sakes, killing people by shooting them in the back is not acceptable and to classify this man as a hero is insane.

Heros are our military fighting in Iraq. A hero is a single mom supporting her children, A hero was Martin Luther King, A hero is a dad who takes time to play with his children.

A Hero is not Joe Horn. He is a killer who happened to live in Texas and got off with no penalty. It would have been so different in other states.

Now everyone with no brains will try to get the same attention he is getting

I'm not saying he is a hero but I'm glad he did what he did. The guys were unarmed "except" for a tire iron and you know how often they find people beaten to death with a tire iron so thankfully those homeowners were not at home during the break-in or it may have been a much more sad situation for them. The two low-lifes lost their lives commiting a crime, not by working and just innocently walking around -- sorry no sympathy there. Don't think Mr. Horn went outside and shot two innocent people for intention or that others will seek attention this way -- nobody wants crime so that statement makes no sense. Mr. Horn, I'm just glad there were no charges against him. And I'd definitely take him as a neighbor.

If I didn't know any better I'd think most of you are advocating anarchy. We'll make up the law on the spot. Yee-haw.

I'm splitting hairs a bit, but possession of stolen property is also a felony in Texas. That was one of Horn's saving points; the men were killed while committing a felony on his property.
