Excellent!! Keep us posted on the job search! Good luck!

I've been dating my husband since 1996. Is it safe to take him there? lol

Of course it is. The area is pretty wealthy and safe.

Gold Dust, the Lupe Tortillas near Hwy 6 has a family atmosphere (not a "date" place) due to the neighborhood. In contrast, the Lupe Tortillas inside 610 Loop between Kirby & Shepherd (closer to downtown) is mostly adults - nowhere as much of a family atmosphere. Instead of large room with tons of tables, it has separate rooms with limited numbers of tables all at once so you could get a table for two with not too many people around.

I think the one near Highway 6 is a good group date place. Like when you have a date, and so do two of your friends. It's more fun that way at a place like that.

It was the Backyard Tavern and Chop House, run by the son of the Grisby Grill owner. But the Chop House is also closed, for over a year now.

I don't believe that anything has replaced that yet, but I can't say for certain.
