Default Restaurants off I-10 & HW 6

Has anyone ever heard of or been to this little cluster of restaurants off the frontage road where I-10 East and HW6 meet? I believe the street names are Stafford & Grisby.

Restaurants are:

Backyard Tavern
Lupe Tortillas
Pasta Lomonte's
Roadsters Ice House
Watson's House of Ales

I checked out the B4U Eat site, but just wondered if anyone here has been to any of these and what they thought of them?

Are these the ones off of Grisby, east of Highway 6? They get REALLY crowded during weekday lunch times and during the evenings, but the restaurants are good.

Yes, that's them! Sorry if I didn't describe the locale right! Which is your favorite?

Lupe Tortillas easily! Can't go wrong with some good Mexican food. I usually just get the quesadillas, and call it a day.

Yeah, it's the original Lupe's and it's still an original, not part of the chain. Just like Rosie Carabba's is still privately owned.

Thanks, guys!! These places are so tucked away that I never would have known about them! Luckily, a friend mentioned them to me the other day!

Pasta Lomonte's
Ate there in May during a "scouting" trip. Very good food, exquisite service. A touch expensive, but a real refuge from the "chain gang" food we had eaten during most of the trip. The location is really cool too with all the trees and greenery. Cool concept to group all the restaraunts so close together. If a job (finally) comes through, I'll be back to try them all.
