How long have they been doing this ''without a tail'' thing? In unincorporated Webster, 2004: I guess I had a big package but there were no tails on any of them. It was the law then too. I only had roman candles and 2:30AM black cats.

But IIRC it was also a dry summer, as it is shaping up to be this year.

I'm sure they loved them too. I saved it for the very end. Great times at the rental house.

But out there we didn't have random March firecrackers like we do in the Houston city limits.

IT was so much fun.
We got the extreme artillery package.. and shared with our neighbors.. so 3-4 of us had cannons going all at once... and it was GORGEOUS
Best 4th o' July ever.

I also knocked on everyone's door.. close by.. to make sure their kids/dogs/people were okay with it

Didn't wanna go blow a huge load on fireworks.. then everyone be miserable. But luckily, everone was into it.
