Help! I feel sure there is another overprotective mom out there somewhere that can forward information. My son is moving to the area and needs to find a place to live. Rent $700-$800 He will be going to school and working. Like most males, he thinks he can live anywhere and be just fine. I would love to know he is in a safer area.
Even if you forward places he should not live this would be helpful.
Thank you!!

I'd suggest he live in one of the new apartment complexes around Beltway 8 and Hwy 59, especially on the east side of 59 near Fall Creek. It's very close to Humble and an easy commute to UTI. Actually, living in Humble itself or Atascosita would work as well but the commute to UTI would be worse.

Try these websites:

http://www.apartment-locators.com/pp...FQJvswodJhp6uQ

and...

http//:Houston Real Estate - Houston Homes, Houston Home Value and Houston Relocation

You can do a search for rental properties in the Houston area by zip code, monthly rent, etc. You can use the following (Humble/NE Houston/Harris County) zip codes:

77338 (Humble proper)
77339 (Humble proper)
77346 (NE Houston/Harris County)
77396 (NE Houston/Harris County)

These are pretty safe areas but the biggest concern, like with most people, will be in the commute, as it can be pretty long if you don't pick the right location.
