Default Restaurants in Spring/Champion/Woodlands

Hey all - any recommendations for good restaurants in the Spring/Champion/Woodlands areas, expecially AUTHENTIC Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Afgan, French etc.

Any restaurants where you have been really happy with the quality of the food. I do not care about the atmosphere or even much about the service.

Thanks!

For Japanese, I like HIDO (by Willowbrook mall). H & B Steakhouse on 1960 is good as well. They are both like Benihana's where they prepare the food in front of you on a hibachi.

For Chinese, I love PF Changs. The also have a location near Willowbrook mall and I think in the Woodlands too.

Sorry if thoses places aren't authentic enough. I'm Italian so I'm not a good judge

Thai Ocha in the Woodlands was very good authentic Thai food.

There is an Indian place in the same strip mall that was very good. Gate of India????? I don't remember the name.

Both are on Sawdust kind of across from Whataburger.

Thanks for the replies everyone - keep them coming. I'm also specifically looking for yakitori (Japanese) if anyone know any place in Houston that grills it.

Modster - I guess it depends on your definition of atmosphere. :-)

Rice Bowl at Richards Rd and Rayford Rd has awesome food for a great price. The atmosphere is stark but someone told me the owner used to cook at PF Changs so the food is incredible.

Is it Yen Jeng...their Shrimp in Lobster Sauce is ...yummy! I also like Chef Chans on Kuykendahl...Chef Chans Chicken & Orange Chicken is heavenly.
Another staple is Mongolian Grill on FM 1960...and for french...think it's called ...Paris Crepe in the Food Town Strip Center on Louetta...Happy Dining...Sunny

I tried the PF Changs at Westheimer -- nice restaurant, staff were pleasant and friendly, guests generally nicely dressed, very good food and service
