Default KB Homes

Can someone please give me their honest opinion of KB Homes and Springbrook Subdivision in Spring, TX? Even hearsay is appreciated, good or bad.

Used to be a lot of negative exposure for KB homes online back in '05 when we were in the market. Lots of pictures, videos, message boards, the whole 9. But the websites & message boards got shut down one by one not very long after. Word was the sites were bought out by KB homes & removed.

The new KB homes we dropped in to see were definitely not the best quality, and the realtor we worked with said she wouldn't even show/sell us one.

Agree with above. KB homes generally have been thought by me and everyone I know to be not good.

Red face Should've asked a long time ago

These are the remarks I was expecting but not hoping for. My husband and I own a KB Home and have put more upgrades into it than I believe we will ever get out of it. It is a beautiful house but I feel like we would be lucky to sell and break even at this point. We didn't do our research and I think we may learn a hard lesson. Thank you for the replies so far and more are appreciated. It gives us an idea as to what people are going to think before they consider buying our home from us.
Have a wonderful day!

If the community is good and enthusiastic then don't worry too much. People don't really research that much especially if the house/location meets their requirements. a little bit of wow factor would help when its time to sell

If you don't have a lot of money to spend on a new home, I'd say go for it. If you can afford better.....get a better quality home. KB homes are beyond cheaply built.

When buying a property, I was always told and have used since, am I buying for a business or buying a home! Yes you have to consider you financial options when making improvements/upgrades, but was it bought for a home or bought just to make money! Obviously it would be nice to do both!!
