Default hwy 1488 info please

Good day all, some might remember me from my posts on The Woodlands? We have seen the area and are trying to decide on the "right" home. We have weighed all options as to location within TW for kids schools, home prices, commute times to the North (conroe employer) and the "feel" of being in TW and sharing the woods and village life.

We have a great home option to the northwest end of TW but wonder if there is an "escape route" from Alden Bridge drive to hufsmith-conroe road then to the 1488? I know the 1488 is under construction but how bad is it versus commuting out through TW from NW to the 45? Google maps do not show a connection to the west not sure if there have been changes? Any info would help us make a decision.

THANKS
