we closed new home with Perry in june though we had few cosmetic issues with paint as they promised they will be done in a day. It's been a month and they are just postponing things and when we met them in a meeting to talk over the issues, they are saying that they will not do those things, we must have not closed it.Construction manager is rude, can someone tell us how we can deal this issue legally.Thaks

did you get it in writing? Once you close most builders will not do anything to remedy cosmetic items. My sales rep. Told me that at our pre-close meeting.

Perry homes in Old orchard sucks!!!!!! We do have the issues in writing but construction manager talks nonsense when we show the list.He tells that all the items are cosmetic and they will show up even after they touch up couple of times.

Have you tried going through the warranty division? Also trash him specifically on the evaluation, if they send one out to you.

How extensive are these cosmetic issues? Perry should obviously live up to their word but how much time and hassle is it worth versus doing a little painting or patch work yourself?

There are white patches in the closets and in 2 bedrooms.

That's not cool. They are liable. However, considering the cost of the touchups, you'd be better off paint matching and doing the work on your own over going to even small claims.
1) They won't show up. 2) They won't honor what the judge rules 3) It will take more time and effort to do that than it would to repair on your own. That's my 2c after dealing with terrible property management for years. |
