It's true, the avg temps in September are 89/69. Check it out.

But seriously though -- compared to our recent days of 99's, 89 is a helluva relief. You'll see it in the electric bill, too.

I'll take 6 months of winter rather than 300 days of summer,3O days of spring,3O days of fall,and 5 days of our"so called" winter, where temps range from 45-30(rarely lower).Face it folks Santa is dead,his sleigh got bogged in the swap,the gators ate the reighndeer,and the skeeters,fireants,& the sun finished off Santa himself!

That's supposedly how the Karankawas fended off discomfort from here to Corpus in the summertime.

I actually told my wife I needed one of those while mowing the grass from 3-6 this afternoon.
