I get around just fine without them.

There's Beltway 8/Sam Houston Tollway, Hardy Toll Road (running parallel to I-45) and the Fort Bend Tollway.

Plus the Westpark Tollway.

Plus the 99 Grand Parkway through the outskirts of Baytown, starting in September.

Oh yeah, that one. You need an EZ Tag to use it.

You can get anywhere without using toll roads.

Hi 30 somethings. What is it that you'd like to see if you're able to replicate should you chose to come and live here? For example, if there are key hobbies or activities that you do now that you want to make sure you can fulfill here, a good place to start would be in the places where you can check those things out. Day to day life here is the same as most places you'll live in, or have lived in, in that it's all here - you just gotta know where to find it! I'm a Brit and have lived here 3 years. I work in relocation, so am happy to give you some advice. Let me know.
