I haven't been to this mall in over 15 years. I never hear much about it. Is it still a pretty nice mall?

Not really. It's not awful but it's a far cry from Willowbrook, First Colony, Memorial City, the Galleria or The Woodlands Mall.

It's in danger of becoming the next Northline Mall, though.

It's ok, it depends on what stores you will be shopping at.

I was in high school in the early 1990s, and I used to enjoy going to West Oaks Mall. I remember when it had shops like Waldenbooks, a record store, etc. All those nice shops are gone now, replaced by some stores that sell cheap stuff like painted T-shirts. Birraporetti's restaurant is gone now, and the space is still vacant. The Lord & Taylor store next door has closed, and that building is still vacant. A few years ago the inside of the mall got a makeover. I seldom go to this mall anymore because I feel like it's just a ghost of it's former self, no fun anymore.

Wow! My friends and I used to eat at Birraporetti's all the time in junior high/highschool...this was in the 80's. It's too bad it has gone downhill...that used to be a really nice mall.

We go to West Oaks for the Disney store and the kid's play area. Also I like that it's close to Barnes & Noble and also that it has an Alamo draft movie theatre. I wouldn't go out of my way to drive to West Oaks mall but it's not very far from Katy where I live.

I haven't been inside the mall for ages now so cannot tell you how it looks like. When I go to West Oak I mostly go to Macy's or Dillard's and no need to go through the mall to shop there.
