Default First time home buyer needs advice to save infected trees

We are first time home buyers and the house we just bought has 10+ big trees in our back yard. Just noticed that one peach tree has only 2/3 left at the bottom caused by some type of insects but it's still alive. A few other trees are missing part of skin at the bottom as well... It's sad to see them dying gradually everyday. Is there anything we can do to save them? thx!!!

I have used a guy named Dr Jim Rivers, and was very satisfied. He is a tree pathologist. He does NOT run a tree service, and does not do the work on the trees. He just tells you what's up.

He charged my something like $75 to come by and give me the scoop. I think he really knows what he's doing.

The number I have is 713-993-9935. If you look in the phone book under TREE you may find other similar specialists.

Good luck.
