One of the local realtors was telling me that they have retained only two supers to finish out their remaining homes and all the others have been let go.

Default Does anybody know the current status of Royce Homes?

I live in one of the primarily Royce home communities (although mine isn't one).
Does anyone have any idea what will become of the finished homes that hadn't sold?
There are existing royce homes 2 houses down on either side of me. The yards for sale signs have come down however the houses still seem vacant. And the yards are no longer being kept up.
I had seen one Royce house a couple of streets over that they had kept the for sale sign up at.

They will probably go to Royce's creditors once the bankruptcy is settled.

Good riddance. Looked at their "Espree" homes back in 2001 when I was house hunting, but found 20 year old homes that were better for 20k less. No thanks.

I passed by a 6 year-old Royce Home neighborhood on my way to my dad's in Alief and I saw blue tarps from Ike's aftermath. My Aunt also has a Royce house in Alief and they had to repair their roof. Her neighborhood has more than their fair share of blue tarps.
