Houston vs Las Vegas
Hey,
I would like to ask which city might be better for me.
I love shopping, nightlife and a lot of people. I don't mind the weather.
I'm working in real estate.
Thanks a lot, MJay

Well that's hard, Houston's nightlife can't touch Vegas's and Vegas's shopping doesn't touch Houston's. Weigh your options. Houston's cheaper to live so I'd probably run with Houston because you get more bang for your buck.

Vegas air temps are higher but the air is drier. Houston is a bit more humid. There are many recreational areas within driving distance of both plays but I would image that Vegas would have just a bit more.

vegas is an inferno in the middle of the desert with nothing around...besides the strip (which can get old really fast) nothing else to do...oh i forgot...there`s BUNNY RANCH if you like to buy a girl for an hour (bout $500)

Houston is extremely humid but the benefit is lush greenery and trees. But on the other hand, there are no mountains, and those around Vegas are spectacular. Probably should visit both and see which feels right to you.

Las Vegas is about casinos, uber fancy hotels and magic shows. Artificial 24 hour ambience on or near the Strip. That's about it. It's one dimensional and the attention to that town is out of proportion to what it really is.
But that one dimension is what makes it unique perhaps.
It has nothing on Houston in terms of an overall package of things to do...high sophisticated culture, the beach areas, abundant halal food (yummy), forest entertainment centers, old town centers, downtown tunnels, bayou canoe trips and all that!
And hey, Houston does have some decent 24 hour cafes (not bad for a city that does have real business and thus goes to sleep at night) and nearby Louisiana casinos for those into that.
