I currently own a home in Holiday Shores 1 Subdivision. It is deed restricted and mobile homes are not allowed. Nor are they allowed in Holiday Shores 2 and 3. The marina in our subdivision has about 12 RV sites that can be rented (maybe this is what desertsun41 is referring to?). It is a wonderful community and we value it for the peace and quiet that is lacking from the Lake Conroe area. We commute to work in Houston and I can get to work faster than my co-worker that lives near Lake Conroe. Hwy 59 does not have nearly the congestion that I-45 does.

I drive that way almost every weekend. Is that King Catfish restaurant any good? It's always packed, but one never knows.

Only been there once but I stayed here.
Lake Livingston Bay Hill Guest House
It was very nice. Lots of rooms. Pier in the back for fishing. And the owner lives right next door and you can use his canoe, etc.

I think the guy was looking for a place to rent long term. Your place is $300 per night. I can stay in the best hotel in America for that. Of course it would not be as beautiful as waking up to the views Lake Livingston has to offer.

Well, I split it with another family so it was about $125 a night for a big house. About the same as a Courtyard Marriott so not bad to me.
But yeah, I misread his post. Thought it was a visit.
