Default Place w/ good quality well priced furniture

Me and my wife found an amazing Dining room table and chairs at Star furniture, but when we found out it would cost us $2500 after tax and 2 additional chairs we were in a bit of a sticker shock.

Does anyone know of a place with furniture of the star furniture quality without the huge premium?

Thanks,

thedom

Try Macy's Outlook (Clearance) off of 45 and Lockwood
Expensive furniture for a fraction of the price.
I got a $1000 dollar table for 100 bucks...

I know this is counter intuitive, since its basically one of the most expensive furniture stores around, but try Louis Shanks. Yes, most of the furniture is ridiculously priced. Yes, most of the furniture is for the very wealthy. However, if you actually shop there and look around you can often find excellent deals on clearance or floor models, or find stuff on sale.

We have found several peices well below what Star would charge on items that are much higher quality just by shopping around the store and keeping an eye out for good deals.

Also don't forget about High Point, NC. If you can get the model and brand of the table and chairs, you should be able to find it via High Point at substantial savings. Just google "buying furniture in high point."

I have done this for a number of large, otherwise expensive pieces of furniture, and highly recommend it.

Try Hilton Furniture - Gulf Freeway between Almeda Genoa & Fuqua -- I've never been there but my neighbors love it.

Avoid Fingers, they have terrible service and pricing. I believe they are shutting down some locations and changing the name of the rest.

Haven't been there personally but my neighbors just rave about a place called "The Dump". From what I understand, its sort of an overstock and close out kind of place for furniture. I can't personally recommend but have hear good things. Maybe someone else here could say something from 1st hand experience
