Hey Everyone,

Looking for peoples perspective on Conroe. I'm looking at a house on the west outskirts of Conroe (near montgomery/magnolia/the woodlands) so I'm wondering what that area is like...specifically west of loop 336 and north of 2854..

I've been told to stay west of 45 by my realtor...

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Generally, the west side of Conroe is a nicer place to be. As you go out west on Hwy 105, you approach the lake area so property values are certainly higher.

We recently (April 16) closed on a home in West Conroe (Graystone Hills) my understanding was also that WEST of I-45 was a better investment than East of I-45..a statistic that really isn't that hard to conceive, if you have toured the area...east is a lot of older commercial, less than preferable residential, while the west side is beautiful..

We were able to secure amazingly qualified tenants for our temporarily leased home virtually within DAYS of closing!!

What is ironic, is that here in Sonoma County, CA, the reverse is true, you want to live east not west of the city center....
