Depends on the size - 3 bedroom/2 bath?
You said you weren't worried about commute. 77095 is good - but commuting to downtown will be bad. half of 77084.

Older homes in Sugar land. Parts of Katy south has older homes under that price. North Katy has some nice little neighborhoods.

Swinging around southeast - parts of Clear Lake.

North would be Spring. Champions.

It would help to know where the job is located.

There are other high schools with good academic offerings; most are magnets. I know Bellaire is a zoned school and a magnet school.

HISD deliberately allows Lamar and Westside as options from the Lee attendance zone. There are expensive neighborhoods zoned to Lee, but they have the choice of Lamar or Westside. Lee's clientele includes children from apartment complexes.

For schools in HOUSTON (I don't consider woodlands,Kingwood etc...houston) stay in spring branch ISD. Lamar Hs is really the only good HS in HISD.
Briargrove is a very good elementary though.

I was thinking more like Harris County? I"m from California and I really don't want to be where it snows a lot. I was told Houston was sort of like California as far as the weather. I'm looking for a family friendly neighborhood, friendly environment, lots of children, easy access to transportation, and a great school. Looking for a Town-home with great amenities and a pool or public pool in the area.

@cheryjohns A 3 or 4 br w/3 ba. I really dont want a long commute: 30 min to 1 hr is fine to get to a job on public transportation. Do they have IEP for the schools out here?
