Default Utmb?

Any word on John Sealy Hospital/UTMB? I used to work there and lived on the east end of Galveston. I heard about water on the 1st floor and some roof damage, but not much about the people left for emergency services.

That is GREAT news considering.Glad to hear you and your family and neighbors are safe. Hope to see more posts like this very soon. Can I ask what town you live in? And is it north, east, south or west of Houston?

I've evacuated from my Lakes of Fondren home to San Antonio and haven't been able to get neighbors or even the security patrol to find out what condition the neighborhood is. Anyone seen far SW Houston in that neighborhood, northern Mo. City, Fondmeadow, Westbury, Braeburn, etc on this forum has a damage and flooding report? In San Antonio the eastbound I-10 has signs do not drive to Houston or Beaumont. Are they literally preventing access with barricades?

My Dad in West University near the Medical Center says that tree damage is extensive (including trees in the street on some streets), and he has significant roof shingle damage. Hasn't seen any structural damage. The local stations are showing major damage downtown to windows in the skyscrapers, and trees toppled over. The local stations are also talking to residents of the piney woods area off of 1960, where there were cases of pines falling on houses and vehicles. Apparently other areas have been spared. It will be a day or two before a comprehensive report is available to the media. Looks like it could have been a lot worse.

From What I have heard reported I-10 is flooded in orange when coming from La. Might want to find a way around it to the north.
