Does anyone know how Bridge City is doing? My 82 year old dad has his house there but he's safe in Tyler right now. My dog was also left in the backyard in Bridge City and I'm worried about him. Any news on whether you can get in there yet to check damage and look for pets?

Why was your dog left outside in the backyard during a hurricane? Not judging, just wondering why.

I really hope he's OK. Keep us updated.

Default Pearland

Does anyone know how Pearland survived the storm? Especially Cabot Cove Subdivision located between Bailey and Veterans off Hwy 518. If not that exact location then Hwy 35 south of Hwy 518? Thanks!

I'll be glad to judge. Anyone who would leave a pet behind in the backyard in a hurricane should be arrested and jailed.

I feel sorry for your Dad and Aunt's situation. But I would have driven 6 hours to save my dog, regardless of cleaning up after Gustav. I hope your dog survived and will be able to recover from the terrifying experience he undoubtedly went through.

In a hurricane, 6 hours worth of gas > a dog.

Apparently many counties in the affected area didn't learn from Katrina and did not allow pets on the evacuations. If planintomove's dad was evacuated by the county, he may not have had a choice in taking the dog.

Check in everyone....I've got some pictures to upload and then I'll share everything I know so far...
Glad to have you back and great to hear you are ok.
I'll be looking forward to the pictures.

Anybody know anything about the power situation in the Woodlands? I've heard 18+ days before everything is back up?

I'm just checking for friends that I have in the area.

Thanks
