For those who have expressed concern, I just got a call that the dog is fine and someone is going to feed him..

Also, they are letting people back in to Bridge City on Tuesday and I am coming with a load of supplies donated by my friends. They will be out of power for quite some time (3-4weeks is being quoted to me by a city official) Just in case anyone is wondering about the Bridge City area.

Does anyone have any information regarding Jamaica Beach? I have been trying to find out information on the web, but have been unsuccessful.

Thanks!

Default Do you think the Curfew will be followed and enforced?

I understand that there is a curfew in Houston for after dark. If they can not get people to evacuate from the mandatory zones, I can not believe the average person is going to bother to follow the curfew.

What do you think will happen after dark in Houston? Is there a curfew in the suburbs?

For those of you currently outside of Houston with family/friends in Houston, www.KHOU.com (TV) and www.KTRH.com (radio) are broadcasting live over the internet. Both are doing a great job. Additionally, if you evacuated, you really need to listen to one or the other BEFORE you attempt to return to the area. You can also call into to both stations with questions. These stations are really helping me keep track of my friends in the Houston area.

Sorry, Houstonians, didn't mean to interrupt your thread but I'm hearing alot of frustration in posts from those outside the area and thought it might be a good idea to repost the links.

I don't know about The Woodlands but just got a call from a friend in Dickinson. They don't have power and the water is low. They had a couple small trees down and the yard fence is blown over. No major damage. There were a lot of road closures and fromt he Waco area it too them almost 7 hours to get back.

Does anyone know of a legitimate donation site for money. I know the Red Cross does but I am not confident with their internal operation and want the money to go to the people and not the staffing.

If anyone knows of a site that is totally legit and not a dummy, let me know.

Thank you for the info, I appreciate you!
If you happen to talk with them again and they have enough cell battery to do so, can you please ask about the roads in and around Dickinson, are they all above water at this point?
Again thank you!
