My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you ! I am wondering if anyone has any info about Winnie. My son and his family evacuated before the storm and he is planning to return there today. He has had no information about his house and very little about anything else in Winnie. Any info would be a godsend!!!
We live 1000 miles from you and we had tropical storm winds from Ike yesterday ! Louisville and southern Indiana have been hit really hard! Over 300 road closings in the Louisville area. Schools in some areas here are closed. Southern Indiana looks really bad. Many places will be without power for a while. We watched shingles flying from our neighbors' homes yesterday. We lived in nederland for 8 years and yesterday reminded me of a couple of the hurricanes that we dealt with while there !!
Anyway, if anyone knows anything at all about Winnie, we would really appreciate it!!! Thanks and hugs to all of you who are dealing with the aftermath of Ike.

Default try chron.com

I have not heard any official report on Winnie. But just by viewing the pictures in the slide show in the photo gallery...it doesn't look that good. There are captions under the pictures so you can get some kind of idea of how Winnie fared.

Houston news, entertainment, search and shopping | chron.com - Houston Chronicle

also you can search your zip code to see if there is power in your area or not.

Good luck and GOD Bless...

Thank you so much mpolar for that website. It still didn't answer any questions about Winnie but those pictures tore at my heart. May the Lord watch over every one of you who has been affected by this storm.

For who was asking about it, It just showed on the news that The Poop Deck made it though! Has some damage but noting that can't be fixed.
