Have y'all seen the latest spaghetti model? Almost all of them are going into the gulf now, and most toward the FL. panhandle.

I hate hurricanes.
I'm seriously considering putting real working shutters on the new house. I mean in Houston, what's the point of having them just for decoration? Shut em', bolt em', and go.

Hurricane IKE will hit Galveston and Houston on Sat, September 13th
According to the new computer models, Hurricane Ike will hit Galveston and Houston on Saturday September 13th as a Category 4. I see another Hurricane Rita with huge traffic tie ups as people flee the City, but this time it will actually cause severe damage.

All joking aside here, the forecast track doesn't look too encouraging. But it's still on the other side of Florida, and this track has changed several times already. Just keep an eye on it and be prepared.
And if it comes time to evacuate, think of the people on the coast first. I'm looking at you, people in Cypress and The Woodlands and other parts inland.
