Question Stafford apartments and crime/schools

I've noticed that the city of Stafford apparently has no zoning or much regulation, unlike neighboring Sugar Land and Missouri City.

I'm concerned about all the apartment complexes clustered together in areas bordering Sugar Land in the Dulles High attendance zone. There were already lots near the high school, and some new ones just went up on Avenue E off Dulles Blvd. Seems excessive if you ask me and I get the impression Stafford is not taking lessons learned?

Anyone live in this area and have info or feedback? Wondering how this area will be in 10-15 years, considering what's happened in other parts of Houston that were overbuilt in apartments?

I'm curious as well. There are way too many apartment complexes.

MO City has extensive zoning laws that doesn't allow apartments in the city unless their for seniors.

Stafford has not been a part of Fort Bend ISD since the 1980s; Stafford is zoned to Stafford MSD schools, operated by the city. The kids who live in those apartments in the City of Stafford are not assigned to Dulles High School.

Stafford is the only municipally run school district in Texas and its boundaries are coterminous with Stafford city limits. This is unique in a state where school districts are independent political divisions and taxing entities in themselves.

This looks like an old post brought up last year, but I will respond.

If it's the area I think he's talking about (near the Hindu temple), then yes, it is zoned to Dulles Elem/Middle/High.

What are the addresses of the complexes he is referring to? The area I saw is unincorporated (and therefore in FBISD) but it is right up against the Stafford City Limits.

I'm pretty sure there are unincorporated parts of Fort Bend that have Stafford mailing addresses, but that does not necessarily mean they are in Stafford city limits (and Stafford MSD).

The unincorporated areas with Stafford mailing addresses are not in the Stafford city limits; an unincorporated area is administered entirely by the county and has no city government. Any area in Stafford is incorporated and is in Stafford MSD.

Likewise, anything outside would be in FBISD even if it has a Stafford mailing address.

This is probably confusing somebody out there.
