Can any of you Gurus look at these kitchen cabinets and say if they are real wood or for lack of better term- fake/ bleached kinds?

I can't tell. It would be rare to get real wood.

So...what is your point?? Personally I like REAL wood in REAL wood finishes..Never liked the painted, *faux* , or other finishes beyond stained and varnished natural. I think if you go for one of these "finishes", it lessens the value, and dramatically reduces the asthetics, of the cabinets, and limits the ability of the cabinets to *blend* with any choice of decor. Natural tones go with anything...(Personally I prefer a Tuscan theme, so of course my cabinets throughout are natural)

No one here can tell from the pic, including me. And I been in the cabinet business for 30 years.

If you give me the brand name I will tell you in an instant. If you dont know then look inside the drawer boxes where many manufacturers stamp the company name. Sometimes still you can look inside the sink base or on the face of the sink base and you might see an emblem or a stamp.

I can tell just by looking at the door style but the pic is too distant for me to identify.

One thing is for sure, 90% of all American made cabinets and closer to 100% of all Euro made cabinets are solid wood face frames, doors and drawer faces and the rest of the box, shelves etc are melamine.

Why do you ask about if it's real wood?

I strained my eyes on the pic some more. I see cheap wrap hinges. That is a sign of a low cost cabinet which also suggests melamine boxes but not necessarily the door.

I have another place you can get me a hint. Give me the builder of the home, with that I can identify the cabinet brand, from there I will give you your answer.

It is a Perry home- my only point is that if this is "natural" wood color, then i guess I won't be able to paint it but if it is painted then I can change this coloe (creme'ish) to white...?

It appears to me like real wood veneer with a pickled oak finish. For what it's worth, I am a woodworker and that's my best guess based on the photos provided.
