Give it a shot... it might work, maybe not. Many people don't know about this simply because of the way it is marketed. And Nyquil has other additives you probably don't need. Just remember to take only half of one pill about 1-2 hours before bed, unless burnout is your thing. And keep on it for a month. It took a whole season of trying this before I realized just how much it helps!

Yeah but as a mom of small kids I can't be so knocked out at night that I can't hear them and climb the stairs to see what's up. If I could I'd be all about the antihistamines.

Stop taking medications, buy you some euclaptus oil at whole foods, a diffuser and a wet towel, use the oil and you will be ok. I know I do this, do your research first and search aromatherpy oils that cure about almost everything.

You know, I wonder if it's *gasp* just us getting older. DH tells me that as we age allergies get worse and the only real cure, at least for a while, is moving somewhere else where the flora is different. I tend to agree because I never had allergies before until two years ago. Or, at least, none that were too symptomatic, but holy crow, this year has been dreadful.

I'm sorry you have an earache. That really sucks. Ever since Drixoral's been gone (not scheduled to be back until next year) DH's cocktail has been--get ready--Dimetapp for kids (grape flavor ) and a decongestant. It's not helping nearly as well as Drixoral but it's close. It's a brutal fall, for sure. I have no idea what Ike did other than strip so many leaves off of trees that the trees released their pollen all at once thinking they missed the signal and winter had begun, so they are correcting themselves?

OH! I also wanted to say, a neti pot rocks!! I was all freaked out by it initially, but when I am really congested I use it. I am telling you--it really does work. I would have never believed it. It also took me about an hour to get the cojones up to actually use it but it's totally not anything like what you think. I kept thinking I was going to choke or feel like I had gotten pool water in my nose and throat but the sensation is not like that at all. Much nicer!!

I recommend one of the best natural remedies: your body. It's an incredible healing machine. You've got to give it a little time to do the repair though. My allergy bothered me for a few days, but it's gone now, all without drugs.
