Default please help - need apt advise for sugar-land/stafford area

We are moving to sugar land in 3 weeks for Boston
We are fine to pay around $1100 for 2-bed/2-bath apt, no kids, just me and my wife
looking for a SAFE place to stay for 6 mths and after that we will try look for housing
I did a lot of research and kind of narrowed down to following apts also open to any suggestion - we prefer a little newer building so following 2 apts r too new and we couldn’t find any reviews :
1st - Choice
Milan - build 2007
13100 West Bellfort, Houston, TX 77099
2nd - Choice
LakesLand Estates - build 2008
630 Colony Lakes Estates Drive
Stafford, Texas 77477
3rd - Choice
Pebble Creek Ranch‎
15270 Voss Rd, Sugar Land, TX
also I will be working mostly from home - here in Boston we have always rented 3rd floor to avoid any noise issue BUT in Texas since it can get quite hot leading to more electric charges on 3 rd I am going for 2nd floor but concerned abt noise
Should we stay on 2nd Floor or 3rd - any pros/cons please suggest

Our very close family friends live in Milan. They don't hate it, but they don't love it either. They have a young child and live there for the outstanding school it is zoned to. I believe they only pay about 900ish for a 2 bedroom/2 bath though. It seems to be declining IMHO. Over the last year, it seems as though they've taken quite a bit of Section 8. Also, every time we visit (generally weekends) it seems at least two or three families are moving out. I think you could probably do better. Heck, for 1,100 a month you might even be able to rent a house in Meadows Place, which is about a mile East of that area. Meadows Place is a nice little town.

Isn't The Milan zoned to ALIEF? Even if not, FYI, it's neither Stafford, nor Sugar Land, it's in the Alief area of Houston. I drive by it often... It seems like faux luxury, as with most of the modern complexes.

I'd recommend either of the other two. I don't know them personally, but there are some nice complexes in Stafford that are very convenient to major roads. The crime in Stafford is fairly low, as there really is limited residential property in the city. It's largely commercial and shares borders with Sugar Land and Houston and is convenient to 59, Beltway 8, U.S. 90A and FM1092.

77099 is crap. in my early childhood, i lived there...everything is run down and most the homes are becoming rentals. in the late 1970's-1980's it was nice middle class place. I would recommend places near First colony Mall like the gables or near 59 & 6 in Sugar Land.

How about Broadstone in New Territory? I don't know anything specific about the apartments but I drive by them twice every week when taking my son to soccer. They are in a quiet residential area surrounded by houses, with not too bad a drive to 99, 59, or Alt 90A. I think they are slightly more expensive than the price you mentioned but since other people are saying the areas for the other apartments aren't nice, maybe the price difference is worth it.

The other two listed, including the one in Stafford, are probably really good. I'd trust them. I wouldn't look at places off W. Belfort, though.

try the Alexan Stafford. There is another complex nearby, but I am unsure of the name.

Alexan Stafford

we avoided 1st floor because of potential flooding in a storm/hurricane
we avoided 3rd floor because of the extra stairs and because of potential roof damage/leaks in a storm.
2nd floor has worked out best for us.
