I live in Montana and near the town of Polson there is a billboard for a store but the ad part is very small, the part you really notice is the main portion of the sign it reads; "neuter your pets, and weird friends and relatives" I am not joking. I have a picture of it somewhere maybe I'll post it.

what is ironic, is that we combined our real estate related Houston trip last June with the "adoption" of our now 6 month old yorkie baby..took her home to CA on the plane, in my lap...

If you are near a vet you could post Found Kitten or Free Kitten for Adoption notices.

CAP, Citizens for Animal Protection, off I-10 near Eldridge is a wonderful organization that will take the kitten and put her up for adoption after examining and giving her needed shots. They spay/neuter the pet when she gets adopted, prior to going home. We have adopted all our cats from them and they are very professional there.

You could also put up lost/found kitten notices at local vet offices, with permission of course. Also, a local vet's office may have a good suggestion on where to take the kitten. What about the local Humane Society?

Oh I forgot to mention Craigslist Pets. We adopted our latest kitten there for free and she is quite unusual-an odd-eyed pure white polydactyl. If you show a picture of the kitten, perhaps someone will be interested.

Have you talked with the neighbors?? She/He may belong to someone nearby. If the kitten looks real young, then there could have been a litter near by.
