I need a phase building inspector in Sugar Land. Did a search on the forms and was able to glean a few names from the posts, but wanted a few more. Any body got some recommendations? Of course state licensed and certifications as well as sample reports are a must. The one's I've worked with in the past all provide electronic copies of their inspections the same day or day after. Do most inspectors do that nowadays? Thanks.

I've used Houston home inspector Ray Hinesley at Texan Inspection (www.texaninspection.com) at 281-342-5762. Very pleased with his work.

It depends on how many times the inspector comes out, at what stage they come out, the size of the house, whether it has a pool, etc. For a final home inspection, when the house is completed, I received quotes of around $400 for a 4000+ sf house.

If you want an inspector during the various construction phases, then you obviously have to pay for each visit.

They will be doing my home inspection this Thursday, so I will let everyone know how we like them.

You should get ahold of John Henry at Fox Inspections as he does a great job, is very personable and good about walking people through what he finds with the inspection. He deserves a great deal of Kudos.
