Question Work in League City, live 30 min f/Mo City?

Hi there...my DH & I are considering relocating to the Houston area next summer. He'd be working in League City. However, we want to live about 30 minutes from Missouri City, where his parents live. Where do you recommend we call home?

I'm thinking maybe Pearland or Clear Lake could work. Maybe Friendswood, too...but not sure....

Am I on the right track, or do you have some other suggestions?

Also, for his commute to work in League City, what would those average?
From Clear Lake to League City (I assume that's reverse of most commutes)
From Pearland to League City (this looks more difficult to me - is 518 an option)?

Thanks for your advice!

I highly suggest you try driving during rush hour in Clear Lake/Webster/League City. Both ways are backed up solid, due to the I-45 construction.

Pearland to League city via 518 is stoplight after stoplight.

Pearland to Mo City should be 30 mins, but Friendswood & Clear Lake will be about 40 mins. Mo City is a spread-out place, really depends on which side of town they're on.

Hmmm...so it sounds like the commute is tougher than I expected? Are we going to need to compromise proximity to LC vs. Mo city?

The in-laws in Mo City live at McHard Road & FB Parkway.
