Why I love Houston
Well, right now, I love it because I am drinking a St. Arnold's Christmas Ale.
Oh, and my door is wide open. Beautiful evening!
Yum.

As a native I hate to say it, but St. Arnolds = yuck. Except for Elissa, and even then is still a B-grade IPA.
But in order not to sound too negative, the weather is pretty nice! Too bad I'm stuck in an office.

mmmm, well, see I don't really like the Elissa. Too bitter for me. I love the Christmas Ale because it is sooo smooth! Just a good refreshing drink to start my early evening and get ready for dinner.
I also love Houston because the Katy Freeway got done in record time. Looks great and a pleasure to drive. Hard to believe just 4 years ago it looked like this:

Hmmm........why else do I love Houston...?
I can get some of the best Chinese food in the country by just going a mile east or west. Oh yeah!

Do they not sell St. Arnolds elsewhere? I do know it is a Houston company, but thought they were sold everywhere.

Blue Moon is a good intro to Belgian style wheat beers, but there are so many better ones. Go to Specs and start searching out Belgian Style wheat beers, they may be called White Beers or Witbier. For example, Hoegaarden is a good one and should be easy to find at specs.

I don't know, to be honest. I just assumed they were local to Texas or the Gulf Coast?

Your door is wide open? I'm freezing my ass off! I'm wearing an overcoat and running the heater. I'd never make it up north. I remember calling home in December in tears when I lived in Denver, telling friends I was coming home. I kept picturing everybody in Houston wearing shorts and flip-flops and sipping margaritas while I was freezing cold. This image drove me home, literally, as I drove 23 hours straight from Denver to Houston. Leaving Denver I kept thinking, "Snow? Ice?? What special kind of hell is this?" Winter does not compute to this Texan.

LOL! Well, now I have the door shut, but I had it open all afternoon! It was so nice out!
You scare me, with this talk of horrors. What is this place, Denver?
