I've live in Houston 53 years, and dated several Nigerian men. The employment prospects are greater in Houston. As for crime, you know what looks shady, avoid those areas and you'll be fine. The Southwest area has a lot of Nigerians, but so does Katy where I live.....meaning there is no set place.

I think that you'll find that Houston is much LESS racist than SC. I have lived in both places and Houston doesn't seem racist at all compared to the Carolinas. It goes both ways as well. African Americans here tend to be more open with other races too.

I definitely agree with this compared to some other places I have been. Houston is pretty nicely integrated....if only it weren't for racist Asians, and we sure have a bunch of them.
