Circuit City Bellaire BLVD
Anybody know if the Circuit City across from Sharpstown mall is still open this location is having a closing sale & is it just about cleaned out or are there still alot of good deals left.

I went 2 weeks ago but didnt find any good deals. its pretty much cleaned out except for about 20% off on display items

That one was closed in their first wave of closings.
It closed a little bit after the Christmas season.

Here is what Circuit City spokespersons said about their bankruptcy and sales:
Q: Great, will everything be on sale?
A: Not necessarily. One of the biggest myths about store liquidations and or retailers in financial trouble is the assumption that there will be huge discounts as a result. That's actually false most of the time. When companies are in debt they need to make as much money as they can in as little time as possible. Though there will be some price reductions, it doesn't mean drastic ones. As reports from last week indicated, the stores that are currently being closed were offering only minimal discounts.

I do think we can negotiate on the prices they have though. In general, I always do in every liquidation sale, especially when it comes to furniture.

Steve and Barry's didn't read that memo; they were selling everything for $1 or $2 before they closed.
