Default Air quality?

I know air quality is pretty bad in Houston -- does anyone know where the pollution starts to trail off and the air gets cleaner? We have been looking at the Woodlands and I wonder if the air is cleaner there than in Houston proper. Thanks!

Air is cleanest in the Northwest quadrant, worst inside the beltway and in the South, Southeast quadrant.
