Hi!
I am new in Houston.
Are there any movie theater in Houston that is better than AMC Studio 30 (sound system wise)?
So far this is the only movie theater I have been to and sound system seems to be not right. So far I have watched two movies. I don't hear surround sound.
Are there any movie theater with THX or other good movie sound system?

Thanks!

Plenty.

My favorite theaters are the Cinemarks in Katy and Memorial City. Good sound and quality treatment at both places. Edwards at the Marq'E is also nice.

The Edwards Grand theater in Greenway Plaza is probably the best theater in Houston.

The new Silverado theater on 249 by Tomball is pretty good. I believe most of the projectors they use are DLP and the picture is real crisp. The only drawback is that alot of youngsters go there well at least for me.

Edwards Marq'E on i-10. The Marq*E Entertainment Center Houston's Premier Outdoor Entertainment Venue!

I saw an IMAX movie there recently and it was awesome. It was a little loud in the IMAX though compared to a regular movie, I'd take earplugs next time.

IMAXs are suppose to be louder than normal theaters though.

If your speakers in your car rock, I suggest going to the Showboat Drive In! Perfect weather for it!! Sit in your car and watch a movie or snuggle outside in chairs with blankets!

I would like to thank each of you for providing me info!
I have recently found out about Marq E and I found it to be much better than AMC Studio 30.
I am planning to each of the theaters suggested here.

Quite a distance to travel though. Especially just for a movie.
