Actually, Nottingham is the best school in that immediate area. Meadow Wood is not quite as good and Thornwood is downright atrocious. Of course, Thornwood has a lot of kids from tough home environments via the apartments in the area.

Agreed... I was comparing it to the elementary schools that feed Memorial Middle (ex- Wilchester, Rummel Creek, Bunker Hill, Frostwood)

Default new construction of "Three Eldridge Place" building east of thornwood section 2

Hello All,
I am interested in moving to the Thornwood subdivision (section 2). I have driven around the area and it seems like a really nice neighborhood. My concern is the new construction of "Three Eldridge Place" building east of thornwood section 2. As residents of this neighborhood, do you believe the additional 13 story high rise will affect property values in Thornwood? I am also concerned over the increased traffic and noise that may impact the quality of life in such a nice neighborhood. Below is a link for the developer who is building "Three Eldridge Place". I would appreciate any feedback from current residents of Thornwood section 2. Thanks!

Hello, these posts are a couple of years old now but, would the same feelings about Nottingham and Spring Forest still hold true? We are looking at homes in this area.

Yes, these "feelings" go back about 50 years for Houston.

Thanks! It seems the area (Nottingham) is well kept and really nice homes but, it's Spring Forest Middle school that is the deterent. And that's a shame too.

Nottingham goes to Memorial Middle.
Nottingham Forest goes to Spring Forest, which is improving. I also feel that Nottingham Forest is the better neighborhood. Meadow Wood Elem is excellent and is getting a brand new campus this year.

I just saw that Spring Forest Middle is now Recognized for 2009-2010. It has improved year over year. It doesn't seem to have any Gold Standard performance subjects but that may improve over the years as well.
