How exactly could he have been 'leaning' from an on the ground position? Actually, they are trained to use a taser in these situations. Deadly force is not to be used in these type of instances. So you would be fine with your mom being slammed against the wall by a police officer? Really?

this was avoidable. the error was that after being told to lay down he did not. why should i obey the cops???? utter lack of respect for the law. the family came out and interfered with the arrest--- the fact that the car was not stolen is horrible but not the issue and not known at the time officer had reason to think it was.
it was not "classic racial profiling" and profiling is used to some extent in police work same as you and me. asian gangs are an issue in houston. i am 1/2 asian what is sad is when the cops are shot no tears but when a suspect resists arrest and is shot we got a crisis. if 1/2 the energy was spent supporting law enforcement that is used in attacking them the streets would be safer.

"leaning" means pull the 22 derringer you palmed outa your crotch and shoot the cop in the head.

No, the error was that the didn't cop run the plates in the first place. The situation would've been avoidable then. What was the probable cause to do this?
But this is a situation where we can all sit here and say "I he would've done this, none of this would've happened," but how do we really know from the comfort of our keyboards? I can imagine this was a chaotic situation, and no one knows what someone is capable of doing in the heat of the moment. Thy guy sees his mother being thrown against a wall, and any son worth anything probably would've reacted the same way. This sounds like an arrogant cop drunk with power determined to put some black folks in their "place"

Notice how differently Asians and Blacks (both profiling targets) would handle the situation. The situation being the climax/shooting, not how it started (***** happens). If someone with a gun slaps your mom you better have a gun too before you let the attacker know youre going to show him how his actions made you feel or else you'll be lowering the mortality rate of your respective race.

This type of mentality & behavior (disrespecting authority) is the result of a cultural problem above all else. It starts in the schools and is ultimately taken to the streets.
